The NCMATYC Mathematics Leadership Excellence (MLE) Award recognizes outstanding leaders who have made significant contributions to mathematics education in North Carolina. Through service, advocacy, innovation, mentorship, and professional leadership, recipients have demonstrated a lasting commitment to advancing student success and strengthening the mathematics education community.

The Board is now accepting application for the 2027 NCMATYC MLE award. Each nominee should be eligible for the AMATYC award. Qualification for that award can be found at AMATYC Mathematics Leadership Excellence Award page. You can submit a nomination for the NCMATYC MLE Award here. The winner will be the Board’s nominee for AMATYC’s 2028 MLE Award.
